Door County Half Marathon Water Station Help us cheer on runners and keep them hydrated at the Door County Half Marathon! Date: Saturday, May 2 Time: 8:30 a.m. – Noon Location: Peninsula State Park (we will meet at the Door County YMCA and carpool) The Door County YMCA will be running a water/Gatorade station along the race route, and we need 4–5 volunteers to help hand out drinks, encourage runners, and bring great energy to the course. It’s a fun, fast-paced morning and a great way to support both the community and the athletes taking on this beautiful race. If you’re interested in helping, please sign up in VolunteerMatters or let us know you’re available. Come be part of the excitement and help make race day a success!

As an Afterschool Volunteer, you will play a key role in creating a safe and welcoming environment for students after their school day. Duties include: • Greeting and helping students safely off the bus • Guiding students to their assigned classes • Ensuring Lifestyle Center rules are followed • Assisting in a youth class if extra help is needed Qualities we’re looking for: • Friendly and patient with children • Comfortable giving gentle reminders about rules • Dependable and able to commit to a consistent schedule This is a great way to make a positive difference in our community while connecting with students in a fun and supportive environment. Each year, the Door County YMCA brings the community together for an exciting day of fun, fitness, and family-friendly activities at Healthy Kids Day! It’s an event designed to inspire kids and families to embrace health and well-being, and there’s something for everyone to enjoy. From thrilling games and unexpected surprises to tasty food, and so much more – there’s no shortage of excitement! But we can’t make this event a success without YOU! Volunteers are needed April 25th to help set up, clean up, and assist with the bounce house, food stations, and welcoming families to the festivities. Come be a part of something special while making memories and supporting the health of our community’s kids! Let’s make this year’s Healthy Kids Day the best one yet!

Get Ready to Shine – Support the Arts from the Start! Our dancers are ready to dazzle, and we need YOU to help make their moment unforgettable! We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help support our dancers during the upcoming recital events at the Door County Auditorium. Dress Rehearsal Monday, April 13 3:15–5:00 p.m. Dance Recital Tuesday, April 14 4:30–6:30 p.m. Backstage Helpers (4–6 volunteers) Help our little stars shine! Volunteers will stay with the dancers in backstage rooms, help line them up for their performances, escort them to and from the stage (and occasionally the restroom), and keep them entertained with simple activities like games or coloring while they wait for their big moment. The ideal volunteers will be available for both the dress rehearsal and the recital. Front of House (2 volunteers) We also need two volunteers to help welcome guests by passing out programs before the show and assisting with refreshments (water and cookies) after the recital. This is a wonderful way to support our dancers and be part of a fun, memorable event. Come out, show your support, and help make this year’s recital an incredible success for our performers!

As a water slide volunteer, you'll be responsible for guiding guests as they take the plunge! You'll work closely with a lifeguard at the bottom of the slide to ensure safety and smooth operation. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old. Important Details: • Arrive 10 minutes early to receive instructions and get prepared for your shift. • Dress comfortably in a t-shirt or tank top and shorts, and be ready to go barefoot or wear sandals. • Stay hydrated! Bring a water bottle to keep your energy up throughout your shift.

Together, we’ll stir up an evening of music, dancing, laughter, and a touch of magic—creating moments straight out of a fairytale. We’re calling on volunteers to help work their magic behind the scenes: assist with setup and teardown, oversee our enchanted refreshments, and help guide guests through registration. Dress in your most spellbinding attire and join us as we turn the ordinary into the extraordinary for a night of wicked fun and unforgettable memories.
